Our next interview is with Brian from Super Action Fight. Please take some time to visit his site and store and possibly hire him out to do a custom. I would like to thank him once again for such a great, detailed interview.

1. So tell us a little about yourself. Favorite food? Sports team? Place to visit?
Eh.. who cares? Lol I am a male producer. Much maore interesting things to talk about related to Super Action Fight Productions than the middle aged guy running the show.

2. How did you get started in producing female fight material?
I have been a fan of female wrestling since I was a kid. Loved the apartment wrestling stuff from Sports Review Wrestling mags, the influx of substance wrestling that was popular in tv & movies in late 70s/early 80s, and thought GLOW was cool at the time. Did my first professional illustration work in the industry when I was 13 (shh, don’t tell Bellstone they were employing a kid!) and from there was just a fan until the internet started becoming a common way to communicate with people. I worked behind the scenes for a few years helping other producers and by 2005 I decided to start up my own production here in central New Jersey.

3. What's the hardest thing to deal with as a producer?
Being a producer means you are not only responsible for quality of the content, getting funds together for shoots, but also working with many different personalities and also people with different lifestyles and scheduling. After doing this for 8 years now, I am convinced I can manage any office or direct a Hollywood movie based upon my abilities to make things happen and motivate people to get on the same page to make something work.

4. What are some wild scenarios you have filmed? Ones that you could not film?
Some of the hardcore weapons matches were pretty crazy. The ladies are typically very safe and have fun with it, but we have had some wild fights where even as someone whom has seen it all, I find myself just in awe of what the ladies did in front of our cameras. Our SUMIKO versus HEATHER hardcore match from 2012 is case in point. Stuff I have stayed away from filming are some of the requests that come in for over the top pro-wrestling. “Picks & drops” as I call them. I don’t find dropping a woman onto mats sexy, interesting, or worth it, for the type production we run here.

6. Do you film fight material that is not for release (private fights)?
No, we only shoot customs and/or out of pocket content that is meant for release in our stores. I charge well under my competition for customs and often times have to chip in money to make any custom happen. I am capable of doing that because we have a catalog closing in on 800 titles, and our sales are usually very strong. Many other producers charge more for customs because they have to make money somewhere, and it is not coming in through sales. My guess is that many producers do produce content that does not go up for sale, but that would never happen here.

7. What is your favorite part of a catfight?
I have very particular tastes when it comes to catfights. The vast majority of what is out there does not interest me at all. I do hope to do more CATfights here at Safprods, but for now we are holding off to bring in the right roster of ladies that not only look the part but can handle the rough action. I enjoy hairpulling for control during a fight, and oh yes, trash talking. Catfighting needs a certain element of humiliation, and when I see other productions out there where the ladies clearly get along too well, it takes me right out of it.

8. What is the wildest fight ever proposed to you?
I honestly can’t think of anything that stands out but I have shot some wild stuff. I have also dealt with a few scenarios where the ladies did not get along and it did not become apparent until they were on the mats. TARA BUSH with BROOKE from years ago is a perfect example. We had another wrestler whom shall remain nameless that we were grooming to become the next big thing. We did a few shoots with her and she was amazing but for some reason when we had her work with a top level catfighter, she became very rough and was going out of her way to attempt to her hurt her opponent. That was the last we saw of her on our mats.

9. What would be your dream video to shoot?
You should have asked me this before February; I already shot it. SUMIKO versus NICOLE ORING was not only a dream shoot for me but what I considered the two very best & most popular ladies in female wrestling getting together for the first time. I was very proud to make that happen. Years ago I was happy to get SUMIKO together with KERI SPECTRUM although it was not the first time (another producer all of a sudden HAD to have that shoot before me lol). Right now I don’t have any dream shoots, although ISIS LOVE a famous porn performer and decent fighter in her own right, is definitely in my bucket list of who I would love to work with at some point.

10. Anything else you would like to add?
As of the date I am writing this (July 29, 2013) I am a week away from our 8th anniversary of production. I never thought it would go on this long or that it would be such a big part of my life. I am grateful that not only was I able to act upon a dream I had many years ago, but that I somehow managed to find a big enough audience to sustain it over the years. I am very grateful to our fans & all the amazing ladies that have helped make our product what it is today.

11. Is this your career or a hobby?
I left a corporate job over 6 years ago to do this fulltime. I am also an illustrator/cartoonist, but there is no question, running Super Action Fight Productions & PINK Wrestling is very much a fulltime gig. It allows me the freedoms to pursue other projects outside of fetish, and also a decent salary that I was not making in my corporate days.
